Coram Children's Charity Published: 05/08/2017
up to £15,000

Coram Voice is part of the Coram group of children’s charities, including Coram Children’s Legal Centre, Coram Life Education and CoramBAAF. Coram is the UK children’s charity that has been supporting vulnerable children for more than 275 years and is still finding new ways to help children and young people.

We are offering a paid 17 week trainee opportunity for a graduate or post graduate who is keen to apply their proven knowledge and any experience to helping change the lives of others.

Working as a member of Coram’s dynamic marketing communications team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience across a range of areas including: media research, communications, content generation, digital production and social media.  The main focus of the role will be maximising opportunities for people to hear the voices and share the stories of care-experienced children and young people, and the practitioners and professionals who support them.

This includes opportunities to amplify the writing from Voices 2017, our national story writing competition for children and young people in care.

Key tasks will include curating and cataloguing competition entries, interviewing young people or professionals, creating original content and identifying opportunities to share these stories with different audiences through blogs, social media, newsletters and bulletins, in order to get the experiences of young people in care shared as widely as possible.
