2.In what ways does the company you work for accommodate for graduates?
The Business Plan allocates a chapter for Entry Level Engineers or Engineer depending on market conditions. They are assigned support activities to Field Project Engineers and Main Office Project Engineers. The two teams must work coordinated for the success and compliance of customer as well as expected project results.
3.What is the current market like for internships, long-term careers and other opportunities? Please describe.
AJ2 Synergy Engineers operates in the Power Generation Business, specifically in the Power Boilers segment. The core business is to conduct engineering assessments on boilers operating conditions and to produce recommendations on preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements required to extend the equipment´s lifespan.
At present, market conditions are quite tight, main players in the business sector are rightsizing their business and competition amongst peers has become fierce. However, continuous engineering and procedures are under preparation hoping for better market conditions.
4.Do you have any advice you can give to the current graduate market in your field?
The Power Generation sector is a continuous and dynamic change in its quest to find clean technologies. There is an absolute necessity for substituting present fossil fuel burning power generation stations to environmentally friendly and sustainable means and ways to produce the power needed to drive the present and future technology. It is therefore greatly advisable to monitor technology-driven companies investing heavily in Power Generation Research & Development.
5.Do you have any tips for students studying in your area of expertise?
At present we are all immersed in an economy characterised as being Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA). One option for a graduate under present economic conditions is to embark heavily on businesses working on the development of any technology related to operation and control systems, in one phrase: “Process Automation”.
